Jahan Berns
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Jahan’s life story is replete with trials, tragedies, and triumphs. She is a classic example of how God’s shining light cannot be overcome by darkness.
Jahan’s Father, a military commander in Uganda was assassinated when she was just six years old. Following his death, Jahan’s family was robbed of everything, and they became destitute. Jahan was raised Muslim until her dramatic conversion to Christianity. Jahan migrated from Uganda to England, and finally to Birmingham, Alabama.
As a Mortgage Banking & Litigation attorney, Jahan practiced law at the law firm of Sirote & Permutt, in Birmingham, AL, until she took a job as the Chief Operating Officer for JH Israel and U.S. Israel Education Association.
Jahan is now in full-time ministry with Triumph of Hope, a non-profit she founded to ignite others with a love and passion for Jesus. She travels and speaks widely preaching the Gospel and sharing her inspirational story in both Christian and secular settings. Her heart is to bring hope, salvation, and deliverance to people who now struggle as hard as she once did. She is married with two children.
Janie Denney
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Passionate about Jesus, His Gospel, and seeing people set free, Janie represents the epitome of efficiency and a strong work ethic. Having founded and successfully run her own businesses at a young age, Janie is a growth -focused, innovative, high-functioning leader who leverages her passion, knowledge, and experience to serve Christ and His people.
As the chief operating officer of Triumph of Hope, Janie is responsible for all operations, and is gifted with a unique ability to find sound solutions and implement processes that continue to move the ministry forward.
Janie is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and received her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree, from The University of Alabama. Janie began her career as a Marketing & Design Manager at JH Israel, where she quickly made a mark by developing and streamlining processes while implementing a new brand and marketing strategy. Her unique approach to problem-solving and strategic vision led to a promotion to Director of Communications, before joining Triumph of Hope.
Janie is in full-time ministry and is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with the world. Outside of Triumph of Hope, Janie is actively involved in Church of the Highlands, and enjoys running, traveling, and date nights with her husband. Her leadership is driven by a passion for making an eternal difference and sharing the fullness of the gospel.
Richman Priestley
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Richman is the husband of his lovely wife, Gracie, and the father of their daughter, Joy (1). They reside in Birmingham, Alabama, and dream of raising a large and healthy family together.
Growing up in Birmingham, it wasn't until his college years that he had his first radical encounter with God, where he received the call to ministry. After that, he left the University of Alabama to attend Jesus School, a ministry school affiliated with Jesus Image Church in Orlando, Florida. After spending two years learning to walk intimately with God, Richman joined the staff of Triumph of Hope as the Development Manager.
Richman's teachings often emphasize topics such as the importance of cultivating personal intimacy with Jesus, the hidden work of character, unconditional surrender leading to a deeper experience of the Holy Spirit, and preparing for Jesus' return.
His hobbies include quality time with his family, playing basketball, going on walks, and times of prayer. His life's greatest ambition is to love Jesus above all else.
Anne Coleman Hufham
COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER
Anne Coleman’s love for Jesus and people is what has drawn her to serve in ministry. She has a heart for unbelievers and believers to encounter the extravagant love of God and walk in complete freedom all the days of their lives.
As Community Relations Manager, Anne Coleman gets to do what she loves in engaging our Triumph of Hope community in many different ways. As God touches the hearts of many through the ministry, it brings her great joy to come alongside them to provide resources to stay the course.
Anne Coleman is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and received her Elementary Education degree at The University of Mississippi. She taught children for two years before joining the Triumph Team. She now resides in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida where she enjoys time with her husband, Luke, and daughter Baskin, being with friends, and being in creation!
Ann Allen Salter
DISCIPLESHIP MANAGER
Ann Allen’s passion is to teach the truth of God’s Word in a simple yet powerful way, so that it can be easily passed forward. She received a fresh word from the Lord during a time of fasting years ago, “Haven’t ya’ll been studying the Bible long enough? It’s time to do the Bible.” She has been enjoying doing just that through Triumph of Hope as their Discipleship Manager.
Ann Allen believes that the remnant Church’s greatest days are ahead., However,but that the Body of Christ must be trained/equipped through the Word and the Holy Spirit to not only only survive but thrive in the seasons ahead.
Ann Allen practiced veterinary medicine in her hometown of Montgomery, Alabama for 40 years and now resides on Lake Martin with her husband Rusty, and numerous wonderful pets. She has two grown sons (Will and Taylor), a daughter-in-law (Bayly), and a grandson (Beckett).
Mary Frances Little
MARKETING PRODUCER
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Mary Frances is a senior at the University of Alabama majoring in Public Relations and Marketing. Throughout her time in school, she has discovered how powerful thoughtful communication can be when it is rooted in purpose and crafted with care, gaining experience across nonprofits, agencies, and larger organizations.
Mary Frances is deeply passionate about her faith and feels honored to serve in ministry. She considers it a blessing to blend her love for design and communication with her love for Christ, using creativity as a way to encourage others and share hope. Whether she is shaping a message, designing something meaningful, or supporting a mission she believes in, she strives to carry herself with humility, clarity, and purpose.
Outside of work and school, Mary Frances loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and finding new ways to be creative.
Donna Long
MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP MANAGER
Donna was born in Selma, Alabama and spent a good part of her life on two wooded acres in the country. She worked full time for many years in the professional world and with Christian ministries as an administrator, while doing a little writing on the side.
Feeling blessed to be working as the Ministry Partnership Manager for Triumph of Hope, Donna is given opportunities to travel, write, share, and minister to individuals in person, at events, and online. She is zealous about people experiencing the transforming love of Jesus in a deeper way which enables them to discover the unique purpose and plan that God has for their life.
Donna still enjoys country life even though she now lives in Cahaba Heights, Birmingham. Reading, fishing, and being with family and friends, not necessarily in that order, are some of her favorite pass-times.
Charlene Berns
ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Charlene grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and enjoys every day as God teaches her to live with a heart of gratitude and to let her actions point others to Jesus.
She has a love of math and baking. Her desire is to use the talents that God has given her to create things that bring people together. Though her path began in electrical engineering, she appreciates the opportunities of getting to marry her passions by crafting pastries that help bring about community-centered hospitality. Her faith is an integral part of the way she lives and works, with gratitude, integrity, and a desire to serve others well.
