A Wholehearted Thanksgiving

Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Heavenly Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same. God decided to give us life through the true message He sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that He created.
— James 1:17-18

Happy Thanksgiving! Do you enjoy cheesy turkey jokes as much as I do? Did you hear about the turkey prom? It was a Butterball. How about these ones: “When is turkey soup bad for your health? When you’re the turkey!” “What’s the difference between a turkey and a chicken? Chickens celebrate Thanksgiving.” “Why did the turkey run across the road? It was time for dinner.” “What did the president say when presented with a poorly cooked turkey? “Is it too late for a pardon?” “What do you call a turkey the day after Thanksgiving? Lucky!”

Laughter aside, Thanksgiving is a time to especially thank God for all His blessings to us, both as individuals and as a nation. It reminds us that we are dependent on God for everything—our freedoms, our resources, our families, everything. As the Bible says, Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Heavenly Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same. God decided to give us life through the true message He sent to us. He wanted us to be the most important of all that He created.” (James 1:17-18 ERV)

At Triumph of Hope, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for all God has done for our family, of which you are a vital part! We have loved God together, prayed, rejoiced, and sometimes even mourned together. Together, we have created great memories as we have partnered with God for the saving of souls and transforming of lives. What incredible God-adventures we’ve experienced and witnessed together! From the very beginning, your prayers, generosity, and encouragement have been the heartbeat of this ministry. Whether you’ve served, prayed, given, or simply stood with us in faith, you’ve helped us share the transforming love of Jesus with countless hearts. We are grateful, and we thank God for you!

This Thanksgiving, we pause yet again to say thank you! We want to share with you this heartwarming, miraculous story of a very brave family who battled hard for the healing and freedom of their loved one: The Donner family, specifically Amy Donner and daughter Mary Katherine Marsh’s story in this video will fill your heart with gratitude for the blessing of God and family.

May God cause His love, peace, joy, and goodness to overflow in your heart and home this Thanksgiving.

With love and blessings,

Jahan Berns & the Triumph of Hope family
