Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting with a 40 Day Corporate Fast and Study
The Lord led us to kick off a 40 day fast, starting July 8, 2025. (It turns out that July 8, 1741, was the day Jonathan Edwards preached America’s greatest sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”. This sermon’s call to Repentance arguably had the greatest influence on America’s first Great Awakening.) The Lord highlighted to us the need to: pray for our nation; pray for American men to daily step into their spiritual leadership role; pray for the Warrior retreat; and pray for the Church to become more effective witnesses for Christ. This 40 day corporate time of fasting and prayer, has brought many people closer to Jesus in their faith walk, and ushered in breakthrough to many others. It has been humbling to walk in the Holy Spirit’s conviction and to hear stories of lives transformed through repentance during the fast. Along with the 40 Day Corporate fast, we launched an incredible book study on Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting by Derek Prince. History truly belongs to the intercessors.
Night of Hope Nashville
When the Lord spoke to us about doing an event in Nashville, we had very few connections there. It is sometimes easy to say no to God when you look at the limitations and challenges that stand in the way of what God is calling you to do. Instead of taking the path of least resistance, God is teaching us that obedience and resilience do pave the path to His presence and blessings. So with that lesson in mind, we went to Nashville and hosted our Night of Hope event. To experience the rich presence of God, and watch others being immersed in the river of God’s love, was and still is indescribable. It was a perfect night. We were doing God’s Will and we felt His pleasure. No one leaves empty handed when they come in contact with the King of Kings. We left the event filled up with the love and presence of the Lord! We praise God for His goodness.
