A Prayer for Christmas

A Prayer to Pray on Christmas Day

My Lord Jesus,

You left Heaven to be born in a manger. From being surrounded by glory to a cradle in the dirt. It is hard to wrap my mind around all that You’ve done for me. You are the greatest Gift of all. You have filled my life with hope, peace, and joy. The words of the hymn echo in my spirit,

“Joyful, joyful, we adore You,

God of glory, Lord of love;

Hearts unfold like flow'rs before You,

Op'ning to the sun above.

Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;

Drive the dark of doubt away;

Giver of immortal gladness,

Fill us with the light of day!”

You have come once, and you are coming again. As we celebrate your birth at Christmas, would our hearts be encouraged that you are coming again, and all will be made right.

May your heart be flooded with the warmth and Love of Jesus this Christmas.
