When God Gave us the More

Since our launch in April 2024, we had never hosted a major event in our home base, here in Birmingham. When the Lord finally gave us the go-ahead and gave us a vision to invite John Bevere as a guest speaker, we were excited to see what God would do.
We laid a foundation of prayer and fasting. (Everything worthwhile at Triumph of Hope begins with prayer and fasting.) Some of the top questions we brought before God were: “Lord what’s on your heart? Where do you want us to have this event? Who do you want to touch? How do you want things done? What do you want the agenda to look like?” As we prayed and waited on God, He began to speak and lead us. Our Made for More conference was born. As doors opened, our team began to plan and prepare diligently. Even as the work was underway, the prayer never waned- in fact it intensified the closer we got to the event.
Going into the event, we were cognizant of the fact that many people had deep needs that only Jesus could meet. We thus made it our aim to facilitate an environment where the Word of God would be presented in truth, love, power, and prayer so that people could come into an encounter with the presence of Jesus Christ. Indeed, only He can be counted on to satisfy our hunger and meet our deepest needs!
I hope you never get tired of hearing that God is still in the business of saving, restoring, healing, and delivering His people. John Bevere spoke on the necessity of walking in holiness and the fear of God. Jahan Berns spoke on what it means to live a surrendered life. Chris Knight spoke on esteeming the Blood of Jesus Christ. Amy Donner gave an incredibly moving testimony on being healed from 28 years of debilitating fear, anxiety, and depression. Her daughter Mary Katherine Marsh gave a powerful testimony on what it was like to fight, fast, and pray for her mother’s healing over the years. Matt Wilson led a prayer session on healing. It was incredible to witness people engaging with God- hungering for His salvation, holiness, surrendering to His call, responding to His love, and receiving His forgiveness, healing, and freedom. Special thanks to you for your prayers. A big shout out to our team of staff, board, intercessors, and volunteers. They did an outstanding job!
