A Prayer for Mothers on Mothers Day

Dear Heavenly Father,

We want to thank You for the gift of mothers. We thank You for their love, sacrifice, strength, and faithfulness. We ask for Your blessings on all mothers during this special time of remembrance and always. We ask that You would give them divine wisdom to guide their children and that You grant them patience, strength, endurance, and hope in the times of trial.

May they find rest in You and be comforted in that their work honors You. We pray that they always remember You, the source of their hope, and call on Your Name in both good times and bad.

We wish to also bless grandmothers and spiritual mothers who sacrificially pour into the lives of others. May they be reminded how deeply they are loved and appreciated and that they have added great value to our lives.

For mothers who are grieving we pray for their comfort and for those longing to be mothers we ask that you would fulfill the desires of their heart and assure them of Your perfect plan for them.

We ask that You would help us to be honoring of all of the mothers in our lives and to reflect Your love to them. Please heal all areas of past wounding or un-forgiveness.

Father, we entrust every mother into Your hands and ask that they grow in intimacy with You, that You fill their hearts with peace , and their homes with Your presence. May You bless them with joy, renew their spirit and mind, and may they know how deeply they are loved and appreciated.
