A Prayer to Pray at the Start of Your Day

Dear Heavenly Father,

Oh Lord, you are altogether wonderful. I would rather be a doorkeeper in Your house than dwell in tents of wickedness. Better is one day in your presence than a thousand days elsewhere.

Lord would you open the eyes of my heart to see you in everything. Every sunrise is a promise of Hope. Every sunset is a reminder of your faithfulness. Every tree is a reminder that you are steadfast. Every person I come in contact with was created in your image, created to express your Glory on earth.

Every conversation is an opportunity to love. Every word spoken is a chance to bring forth Life. Every joyful dinner with loved ones is a mere glimpse into the coming Kingdom. Every temptation to fear is an invitation to radically trust. Every minute in worship ministers to your heart, the heart of my King and ushers me into your presence.

Every burden is an opportunity to surrender and enter more deeply into Your rest. Lord show me how to be content in everything, yet always hungering for more of you. I thank You for your precious presence. Thank you that you never leave me and Your love surrounds me. May my heart be ever filled with gratitude for all that You have done.
