Day 38: Are We Willing? Do it Again, Lord!

Past revivals in our country have been preceded by prayer and fasting. History truly does belong to the intercessors. The last time a national fast was called was 1865 by President Abraham Lincoln. America was divided and broken and Lincoln knew there was no natural solution for a spiritual problem. Here we are 160 years later, the circumstances are different, but nevertheless, our country is extremely divided and broken. There will be no natural solution for this spiritual problem. Only the supernatural prayers of God’s children can turn the tide of evil in our land.

Are we willing to continue to humble ourselves with prayer and fasting and ask God to “Do it again!” Please join us in praying for our current President and Presidents who follow to reinstate a national day of prayer and fasting. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He has done it before and He is ready and able to do it again. “If my people who are called by My  name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Prayer

Lord Jesus, we stand in the gap in identification repentance on behalf of our nation. Please forgive us for kicking you out of every aspect of the culture. Please forgive us for worshipping worldly idols instead of You, the One and Only True and Living God. We have sinned against You and You alone. Your people are humbling themselves with prayer and fasting, we are turning from wicked ways, and we are trusting You to forgive us and heal our land. Let repentance turn into revival across the land. Do it again Lord! In Jesus name, amen!
