Day 18: Intimacy With the Spirit

In Rick Joyner’s book, “The Final Quest,” he shows the intimacy that is available to us today through a vision and conversation with Jesus: “‘If you really desire to be even closer to Me than Paul was, you can. Some will want this, and they will want it badly enough to give themselves fully to it, laying aside anything that hinders their intimacy with Me. They will have what they seek.’

You will have what you seek.

We see the natural law of sowing and reaping through the planting and harvesting of crops. It's no different for our spiritual life. Paul writes, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7-8

What does this mean as it relates to intimacy with the Spirit? What we sow, is what we reap.

Fellowship with the Lord is no different. If you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, you will grow in greater intimacy (Matthew 6:33). If you read his word, you will grow in faith (Romans 10:17). If you spend time in oneness and prayer, you will grow in deeper intimacy (Luke 10:38-42).

It’s time to consecrate yourself to the Lord. He has exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ask or imagine. He is calling your name!

Prayer

Lord, you alone are worthy. Your name is the name above all names. I repent for ignoring your presence. I repent for not listening to the Holy Spirit’s convictions. Show me how to fellowship with you. Show me how to grow in deeper intimacy with you during and after this fast. I surrender my life to you today. I surrender my will to you today. In Jesus name, amen.
